You Can Help by Fostering a Poodle
Casey recovering from surgery The burgeoning number of abandoned poodles has created the need for interim homes until the adoption process can be completed. All poodles in our care are vetted, vaccinated, and microchipped at the minimum. Most rescued poodles need medical care, recuperation and grooming before they can be adopted.

Our generous foster volunteers keep the rescued poodles until the best possible permanent homes can be found for them.

Foster care provides another important benefit: time to observe the dog and learn its personality traits. This is valuable information that Coastal Poodle Rescue uses to match the dog with a prospective owner.
The joys of fostering are many:
  • The miracle of witnessing sick or abused dogs become happy creatures again
  • The amazing lessons of forgiveness our little guys demonstrate every day
  • Discovering in yourself the character needed to nurse a dog to health
  • The satisfaction of seeing a deserving family find its newest member
  • The life-affirming exercise of your heart's "love" muscle
Foster volunteers are not responsible for medical care. However, fosters do provide:
  • Transportation to and from vet appointments
  • Shelter and a quiet place to recover, which can vary from a week to several months
  • Good quality food, water, and incidentals (on occasion)
  • Love, kindness, patience and lots of hugs
